Production Blog/Editing the sound

Image
On November 18th, my group and I edited the sound. The song we chose is ‘Who says’ by Selena Gomez. The song itself is very well-made. The beginning portrays a woman being very insecure and regretful. Then, the middle represents the beginning of a new beginning, and the start of confidence. Finally, the end represents true confidence, and happiness. In other words, the structure tells a story, which made me want to preserve its storyline. Due to the fact that I wanted to include most parts of the song but couldn’t because we only have 1 minute and 15 seconds for the project, I came to conclusion to try to crop and edit the sound in order to fit everything within the time limit. After a whole class of working on it, the sound was done and ready to be used. The process was really long and difficult, and I had to be very precise. First, I cut some “useless” parts of the song. In second place, I cropped the existing parts, and made them a bit shorter. Finally, I needed to make the song sou

Production Blog/How the filming went

On Tuesday 23rd of November, the day of the filming, I invited my group members over to my house. However, we were 5 instead of 4. One of my group members, Brianna, has a twin sister which we invited to be in our video, and also helped us out throughout the process. They all came around 11:45 to 12:00, we talked a bit, and then started working. The first scenes were probably the hardest due to the acting. The main character had to portray sadness, which was quite hard to do for my friend. We kept laughing which made it challenging to represent the correct feelings the characters should actually feel. When we realized that we were really struggling, we decided to play some sad music, and it helped my member a lot, and she ended up acting well. To show the sadness even more during the first clips, we lowered the brightness of the camera, which made the setting look very dark, as if almost no light could penetrate. Each scene took about 15 minutes to film, and we had to take about 10 shot

About my group

Image
In this class, since the beginning of the year, the teachers have recommended us to get into groups. So, I have chosen to work with two partners. I was aware that this class can get a little hard, and I didn’t want to put too much pressure on myself. For that reason, I decided to work with two other girls. I got to know them on the first day of class. I didn’t know anybody at first, and I was sitting on a table of three. Not long after class started, two girls sat next to me and didn’t know anybody in this class either. So throughout the period, I got to know them. We all got along very well very fast and kept talking, which made us get close. After that, we decided that we would form a good group. At that time, we already knew each one of us was persevering and would take this class seriously. Their names are Angie Mendez and Aleiah Luster. They are hardworking, patient, honest and genuine, which are important criteria for a group formation. We all like to share our ideas with each ot

About me

Image
My name is Lili Amblard and I am sixteen years old. I am French and I moved to America in 2017. I come from a city on the Mediterranean Coast, Cannes. Now, I am currently living in Fort Lauderdale, in Florida. I have no family in America, so I try to go to France every summer. In my free time, I enjoy going out and hanging out with my friends. Additionally, I love going to the movies or watching Netflix. Another thing I enjoy doing is learning Korean. I find it to be a beautiful language, and comes with an amazing culture. In the future, I hope to to attend FSU, which is my dream school. For the moment, I am thinking of studying business and marketing. After college, I would love more than anything to live in New York City, I fell in love in love with it from the moment i stepped foot in it. If NYC can’t be an option, I’ll definitely stay in Florida in Miami. Now, why did I choose to take this class? Back then, when I chose my classes, I didn’t even know what this class was about. Howe
